Taiwan has 15 public holidays in 2028. 3 of them fall on a weekend. The longest continuous break is 9 days. A further 4 days are granted at administrative discretion.
Who decides these days
Taiwan's holiday rules were upgraded in 2025: what had been an administrative regulation became a statute, the Act on Commemorative Days and Holidays. It names twenty commemorative days, but only six of them close offices; the other fourteen are marked without a day off, and the same holds for many festival days. Which days are actually taken, and which are made up, is settled each year by the personnel directorate's official calendar.
