Japan has no Eid al-Fitr. All sixteen national holidays are written into the Act, changing them means amending it, and Japan has no local mechanism for a religious holiday. In practice Ramadan and Eid fall on ordinary working and school days: the congregational prayer at the mosque is usually set at dawn or the earliest slot of the day so that people can go on to work.
