The school year opens on 1 August but classes start in early September; Mother's Day and Father's Day are named in the statute and explicitly given no day off; when Children's Day collides with Tomb-Sweeping Day there is a dedicated substitution rule. So the answer to 'when do you have holidays' is frequently not the answer to 'when are you actually celebrating' — separating those two layers is what makes a reply usable.
