Philippines has 12 public holidays in 2027. 7 of them fall on a weekend. The longest continuous break is 4 days. A further 8 days are granted at administrative discretion.

Who decides these days
The Philippines has two kinds of holiday, and the pay rules differ.
There are 12 regular holidays a year, including Eid'l Fitr and Eid'l Adha.
Under DOLE rules, workers who stay home still get a full day's pay, and those who work get 200%.
Special (non-working) days are different: no work, no pay as a rule, and 30% extra if you work. 2026 has eight; four of them (Chinese New Year, Black Saturday, All Souls' Day, Christmas Eve) are added by the President each year.
The legal basis is Section 26 of the Administrative Code, as amended by Republic Act 9492, which still describes several holidays as falling on the nearest Monday.
The actual dates come from a yearly presidential proclamation: No. 1006 for 2026 (signed 3 September 2025) and No. 1427 for 2027 (signed 8 September 2026).
Recent proclamations have kept the original dates, but nothing is final until the next one is out.
The two Islamic holidays are set separately: the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos recommends a date from the Islamic calendar and the President proclaims it, often days ahead — the 20 March 2026 Eid'l Fitr holiday was announced on 12 March.
The EDSA anniversary on 25 February is now a special working day.
Local holidays declared for single provinces or cities are left out, and election days are proclaimed separately; RA 12326 moved the barangay elections to November 2028.
